2008 Cruiser Rules
Changes from 2007 are in RED.
These changes may be clarifications of old, or new rules.
Description:
The Cruiser Class is intended to be a "budget" racing class. The vehicles are basically STOCK, with safety enhancements. All participants must act in a professional manner and the vehicles must conform to the following rule set. Drivers must be at least 14 years of age with parental consent to participate.
To help ensure budget thinking, the Cruiser Class is a "Claiming Class". A car may be claimed only by a fellow competitor racing in the Cruiser Class. A claim must be made at the "Pit Shack" prior to the start of the Mini Stock Feature event. The claim must be made in writing accompanied with cash in the amount of $700.00. Vehicle must be taken "as is" after the feature event. Should multiple parties claim the same vehicle, a pill draw will be held between them with the lowest number winning the claim.
If a claim is refused, all monies and points earned will be forfeited for the night. A fine will be accessed in the amount of $350.00 that must be paid to the track in cash before the driver and or claimed vehicle can compete in the Cruiser Class again.
